Ecomorphological Aspects of the Phytoseiid Mite Evolution (Parasitiformes, Mesostigmata, Phytoseiidae) of Palearctic Forms as Example. Kolodochka L. A. — The ecomorphological adaptations of the mites of the family Phytoseiidae (Parasitiformes, Mesostigmata) from vari-ous habitats was conducted. The obtained results represent the background of the explana-tion of the evolutionary changes on various taxonomic levels within the family. A scheme of the evolutionary formation of phytoseiid mites is proposed. Phytoseiid mites are treated as Gamasid group being occupied nearly full spectrum of the biomorphes of the terrestrial high plants. An appreciation of evolutionary advanced genera and estimate evolutionary progress of the group, as a whole, is given. It is proposed that the ancestral forms of the phytoseiid mites have colonized various plants (as a new adaptive zone) repeatedly.
Key words: phytoseiid mites, Pelearctic region, ecomorphology, evolution.

Yu. — A new species of marine fish leeches from the North Pacific is described. This leech deposits its cocoons on the crustaceans Paralithodes camtschatica, Lithodes aequispina, and Chionoecetes opilio, but feeds on the fish blood. Crangonobdella maculosa S. Utevsky, sp. n. is related to Crangonobdella fabricii (Malm, 1863), but differs in the following characters: in the new species, segmental bands consist of separate spots; the conductive tissue is weakly de-veloped; the vagina is provided with a glandular organ.

S. — Characteristic of faunistic complexes of palaearctic yponomeutid moths as probable examples of specific formation of the microlepidopteran group is given. Obvi-ously, among possible ways of formation the faunas of yponomeutids, the sympatric speci-ation predominates conforming with the presence of numerous sibling species, conjugate species as well as with phenomena of oligophagy and topological isolation.
Key words: yponomeutid moths, speciation, phytophagy, trophic connections.

Winter Aggregations of Bats (Chiroptera) in Caves of Central Podillya (Ukraine). Godlevska O. V., Petrushenko Ya. V., Tyschenko V. M., Zagorodniuk I. V. — In 1999–2003 winter cen-sus of bats was carried out in 12 caves of Central Podillya region (S.-E. part of Ternopilska and S.-W. part of Khmelnytska administrative provinces of Ukraine): Chaplynski quarries, At-lantyda, Zaluchanska, Khrystynka, Ugryn’, Mlynky, Juvileina, Slavka, Kryshtaleva, Opty-mistychna, Ozerna and Verteba caves. All of them, beside one — Nigynska Cave — are places of bats’ hibernation. 9 bat species were found during hibernation: Rh. hipposideros, M. myotis, M. bechsteinii, M. daubenonii, M. mystacinus sensu lato, P. auritus, P. austriacus, B. barbastellus, E. serotinus. Base of the list is formed by two species — Rh. hipposideros and M. myotis, which have been dominants almost in all examined cavities. On sum of our data, part of the first one amounts 67,8%, and the second one — 30,4% of all individuals, a part of all other species doesn’t exceed 2%. The most important places of bats’ hibernation are Ver-teba Cave, Vitrova Cave (of Optymistychna system) and Lysyachiy Khid Cave (of Kryshtaleva system). In Verteba Cave 3 bat species are found (dominants are M. myotis, nmax = 127, and Rh. hipposideros, nmax = 52), in Vitrova Cave — 4 species (dominant is Rh. hipposideros, nmax = 204) and in Lysyachiy Khid — 6 species (dominant is Rh. hipposideros, nmax = 162).
Key words: bats, hibernation, caves, Central Podillya, Ukraine.

Trophic connections of Yellow-legged gull, Larus cachinnans (Laridae, Charadriiformes), on Middle Dnieper. Atamas N. S., Loparev S. A. — The trophic connections of the Yellow-legged gull (Larus cachinnans Pall., 1811) of Middle Dnieper, namely specificity of foraging, structure and distribution of forages on seasons, trophic acclimatizations, which have arisen after in-vading by a species of Middle Dnieper’s water storage basins are parsed and studied. Yellow-legged gull is the settled species on of the given territory. It prolongs to settle up-stream on a water area and permanently augments the number. In a feed a large diversification of alimen-tary objects, specially fish and mammals is watched. The policies of foraging also are connected to human activity both straight and by indirection. The competitive interplays appar-ented poorly, biotic connections are at the stage of formation.
Key words: Larus cachinnans, water storage basins of Middle Dnieper, trophic connections.

Psammophaga simplora, the First Record of Foraminifera Species of the Family Saccam-minidae in the Black Sea. Anikyeyeva O. V. — We stated that one of the most frequently oc-curring representatives of afore named organisms belonged to a new (for the Black Sea) spe-cies Psammophaga simplora (Arnold, 1982). By general characteristics this species doesn’t differ from the type one, but shell of Black Sea representatives has a more length. Correlation between a quantity of P. simplora and general number of soft-shelled foraminifera in the Se-vastopol bay has been shown in the article. The data about spatial distribution of this species depending on granule-metrical composition of a sediment have been given. It is settled that P. simplora in the Sevastopol bay prefers the fine silts.

The Peculiarities of Biotopical Distribution of Tiger-Beetle Larvae (Coleoptera, Cicindelidae). Putchkov A. V. — The data on the distribution of the tiger-beetle larvae into biotopes are summarized based on the analysis of the World fauna. Based on the ecotope preference, most of which are intrazonal, the larvae are distributed into 2 main groups (dendro- and geo-bionts) and 8 subgroups. The dendrobionts are includes about 15% of cicindelid species of family. The remaining 85% are typical geobionts, predominantly inhabiting shore biotopes. The poorest species compositions of cicindelids are in steppes and forests of the temperate zone. The new data on the seasonal activity of the tiger-beetle larvae and population of adults are provided.
Key words: Coleoptera, Cicindelidae, larvae, biotopes, population.
